Amare Announces 2023 Commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities

“Being afforded the opportunity to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House was an incredibly rewarding experience for all involved."

Amare Medical Network is proud to announce that our Core Values Team, through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative, has committed to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Pittsburgh and Morgantown, Inc. as a philanthropic focus for 2023.

RMHC provides a way for families to stay close to their children receiving medical care, and is committed to helping the families lead happier, healthier and more productive lives.

“Back in 2019, we were able to volunteer as an organization for the first time at RMHC, and words cannot describe how much gratitude RMHC and the families showed us for our efforts. Between making 4 dozen eggs, 20 pancakes, and going through 5 loaves of bread for Art’s world-famous toast, we were able to provide a comforting breakfast for those going through significant hardships and give them a moment of relaxation and solace,” shared Alex Lang, Senior Recruiter, Allied Health, and Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator.

To kick off the 2023 commitment, a small group of Amare volunteers participated in the Meals from the Heart Program at RMHC, located at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. This program allows volunteers to come in and make a hot meal for the families of patients. RMHC tries to provide one hot meal a day for its residents. By participating in one of the meal programs, Amare has the opportunity to help families who are far from home while their children can receive life-saving medical care, connecting to one of the company’s core values of Being Passionate About Caring.

“We are fortunate to have the ongoing support of our friends at Amare Medical Network,” said Eleanor Reigel, Chief Executive Officer, RMHC Pittsburgh and Morgantown. “Volunteering plays a vital role in carrying out the mission of the Charity. And the kindness this organization continues to extend ensures the families we serve have the comforts of home when they can’t be.”

“Being afforded the opportunity to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House was an incredibly rewarding experience for all involved,” expressed Lang. “So many smiles were shared while making breakfast and it was very inspiring to see all our volunteers exhibiting our Core Values and demonstrating their passion for caring for the families of those receiving life-saving treatments. We are extremely proud of our relationship with the RMHC, and look forward to continuing to work with them and deliver care worthy of a million smiles.”
