Kristie Stevanus Troha – Vice President of Marketing and Communications

What makes you a strong woman?

Strong women are resilient and confident. They can bounce back from setbacks, failures, and adversity. Personally, I use obstacles as opportunities for growth. Confidence is also really important. A strong woman must know that she is worthy of respect and recognition, and must stay true to herself and her values, even in the face of pressure to conform or compromise.

What advice would you give to your 25-year-old self?

Take risks! Don’t be afraid to take calculated risks and step out of your comfort zone. Some of the most rewarding experiences and opportunities come from pushing yourself beyond what you think you’re capable of.

Sally Patton – Client Success Manager

What makes you a strong woman?

I feel that a strong woman can be defined in many ways. For me, resilience and adaptability are two contributors to my strength. However, being surrounded by a tribe of strong women from an early age is the biggest contributor.

Why do we need more women in leadership?

Diversity in general is important in leadership.  Women bring different perspectives and experiences which results in better collaboration and decision making.  More women in leadership roles will also inspire young girls and show them women are equally capable.

What makes you a strong woman?

My family, friends, and daughter are the people who believe in me most and push me every day. I am strong because of them.

How do you empower yourself and the women around you?

By surrounding myself with positive people. It’s super important for me to surround myself with people who want to see me succeed and do well in life. To empower the women around me, I help them see their self-worth and how important it is that they believe in themselves to see their amazing strengths.

What is your Women’s History Month message?

Every woman can make their own path in life! Figure out what is most important for you and run with it. Your career, building a family, traveling, all of it –  just do what is best for you! Each path is just as valuable and important as any other path people choose.

What makes you a strong woman?

I think a strong woman is someone comfortable and happy with who they are. They are always open to new situations, work hard towards their goals, and learn from their failures; never give up. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or for help when needed; it’s not a sign of weakness.

What do you believe is the biggest opportunity for the generation of women behind you?

There are new opportunities in the world, so do and be whatever you want! Things have come a long way and hopefully will continue to do so, making things more equal with no divisions.

What makes you a strong woman?

I think a strong woman is someone who understands their worth and isn’t afraid to speak up about what they believe in for themselves and others. Their kindness and optimism shine through even in tough times. They possess a deep sense of self-worth, content with who they are, not what others expect. Those are some of the characteristics of a strong woman that I aspire to be.

What is a women’s empowerment moment that inspired you?

Representation is important so seeing women in politics and leadership positions is very inspirational to me. It shows me that our voices do matter and that anyone can achieve their goals in life.
