Smiles of Amare: Michela Grady, CNA

Michela Grady creates smiles wherever she goes, which makes her a perfect fit as a CNA with Amare Medical Network.

“The overall mission to provide smiles is also a mission of mine,” she said. Michela has been a CNA for three years and has been with Amare for five months. Personal experience put her on the path to a healthcare career.

“Growing up, I had two cousins with a rare genetic condition,” she said. “Watching the nursing staff and their home care nurses made me want to work in healthcare to help others like my cousins. As they have both passed on, they are my biggest motivation.”

As a CNA, Michela loves getting to know the residents at her facility.

“You become a family almost. We see the good and the bad days, and we are there for them through it all,” she said.

Michela’s recruiter, Natasha Cook, says she provides smile-worthy care daily.

“She makes a great impression when going into a facility,” Natasha said. “She has a very upbeat and bubbly personality, which brightens the rooms of many residents.”

“I make it my goal to provide the best care I possibly can and be there as a listening ear or a crying shoulder for all the residents I come in contact with,” Michela said.

She plans to continue her healthcare career by becoming a nurse and will be starting the nursing program at Pittsburgh Technical College in April. For now, though, Michela is very happy working as a CNA with Amare.

“With Amare, you feel appreciated for the work you do,” she said.
