Travel nurse couple provides care worthy of a million smiles through COVID-19

Travel nurses Joe and Debbie Porche recently took a much-deserved vacation after working through the Covid-19 pandemic.

The couple, who has been with Amare for more than two years, shared photos with their recruiter from their recent beach trip. It was their first break since the pandemic began.

Joe and Debbie won’t be resting for long, though. They just accepted a new assignment in Virginia. The pair is planning to head back to the beach, though. It’s just 10 minutes away from where they will be working.

Last year, a patient at Carillion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, Virginia shared praise on Facebook for the Porches:

“2nd day in the hospital and I can’t say this enough. My nurses Joe and his wife (one on day shift and the other on nights) are probably some the nicest nurses and people around. They have kept me pain to a controllable level even through the night coming in and giving me meds in IV without waking me so I could sleep. Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital is lucky to have y’all!”

Clearly, Joe and Debbie are passionate about caring and we are proud to have them as a part of the Amare family!
