Smiles of Amare: Justine Lechner, Travel X-Ray Tech

Justine Lechner, a dedicated X-ray technologist with Amare, brings a wealth of experience and a caring heart to her work at an all-children’s hospital. For the past seven years, she has excelled in diagnostic x-ray, particularly enjoying the fast-paced environment of the OR and the intricate procedures involving fluoroscopy.

Justine’s journey into healthcare began with a familiar face – her father, a retired orthopedic surgeon. Inspired by childhood visits to his office where she was captivated by x-rays, Justine’s interest blossomed years later when the opportunity arose to join a radiography program.

Today, Justine thrives in the variety her role offers. During her shifts, she performs a wide range of examinations on patients across the ER, NICU, PICU, CDHICU, and post-operative units. What motivates her most is the chance to make a positive difference in each patient’s life.

“I enjoy how every patient is different,” Justine says. “I’m glad to be a compassionate asset aiding in vital care of each patient for their appropriate diagnosis and progress.”

One patient story that stays with Justine is that of a young man involved in a life-changing car accident. The experience, a stark reminder of how quickly things can change, solidified her commitment to her profession. Justine’s professionalism and care during his X-rays left a lasting impression, and she continues to be inspired by his strength and resilience as he adapts to his new reality.

Justine’s travels with Amare have taken her to locations like Southern West Virginia and Florida, and she dreams of venturing out West someday. Amare’s dedication to both its employees and the hospitals they serve resonates deeply with her.
