Smiles of Amare: Brylie McQuillan, Post-Acute CNA

Brylie McQuillan has been a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for three years, and her journey in the healthcare field has been nothing short of inspiring. When Brylie’s previous agency severed ties with her community, Amare stepped in and welcomed her with open arms. This act of kindness and support solidified her gratitude and commitment to her role at Amare, where she continues to make a significant impact.

Brylie’s approach to caregiving extends far beyond her job description. “I am more than just a direct care worker,” she says. “I am a shoulder to cry on, and a listening ear for my residents. They are much more to me than just residents; I consider them family.” This deep sense of empathy and commitment is what makes Brylie exceptional. She finds great joy in making her residents feel comfortable and dignified, especially during the significant changes they are experiencing in their lives.

Her journey as a CNA is a stepping stone toward her ultimate goal of becoming a registered nurse, a milestone she is set to achieve in about a year. Inspired by her grandfather, who also has a nursing background, Brylie understands the profound importance of her work. One of her most cherished memories involves a resident who would humorously mix and match clothing from the carts, a moment that reflects the joy and humanity she brings to her role.

Brylie’s dedication, combined with the support of her incredible team members and recruiter at Amare, underscores her belief that caregiving means putting your all into everything you do, and treating each person with the love and respect you would give to your own loved ones.

As Brylie looks toward the future, she envisions herself continuing to make a difference as a registered nurse, whether working with babies or the elderly. Her journey is a testament to her passion and dedication, and we are incredibly proud to have her as part of the Amare family.
