What made you choose Amare?
The company’s name really stood out to me because it meant love, and that’s what I give as a CNA.
Give a one-sentence overview of your job.
As a CNA I look after the residents and provide help with their daily needs all while putting a smile on their faces.
What is your favorite part of being a CNA?
My favorite part of being a CNA are the daily activities that I get to do with my residents.
Why did you decide to become a CNA?
My grandmother raised me and as she aged, she began to get sick. At a very young age, I began to take care of her which inspired me to take care of others.
Is there someone who inspired you to pursue the job you have today?
Yes, my late grandmother, Leatrice Lott.
Is there a patient that you will never forget?
So many stories come to mind when I think about my job. My favorite is when my residents ask for their babies and we give them baby dolls that they talk to as if they were real.
Our company’s purpose is to deliver care worthy of a million smiles. What does that mean to you?
Delivering care worthy of a million smiles means going above and beyond the call of duty to not only provide great care but also interact with residents as if they were lifelong friends or family members.
What is the best part of working for Amare?
I love working for Amare because I know they will not only look after me but also the ones I love.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
First off, I see myself still employed with Amare traveling the country and spending time with my 11 grandchildren!
