Smiles of Amare: Allison Fleming, RN
“They were like family to him,” she said about the nurses who cared for her grandfather. “I wanted to be that person in someone’s life.”
Allison Fleming became a nurse after her grandfather went through hospice care.
“They were like family to him,” she said about the nurses who cared for him. “I wanted to be that person in someone’s life.”
Now, that’s exactly what she does for her patients as a critical care RN.
“Being an RN comes with trust, responsibility and knowledge,” she said. “I really enjoy the critical thinking aspect of nursing and knowing a patient so well that when they start to have a decline, the nurse can think through options as to what they can do to help this patient. We know our patients best.”
Allison has been a traveler with Amare since October 2022 after being referred by a friend.
“Allison is great to work with,” said Senior Recruiter Brittney Jackson. “She is always on top of getting things done and communicates with me about her assignment and how things are going, which is always great to hear.”
“Amare is different from other places I’ve worked because I feel like I have more freedom and flexibility,” Allison said. “My recruiter is not pushy and really listens to my wants in a job. This is one of the most important parts in choosing an agency.”
