Care Provider Spotlight: Maurice Hunter, LPN

Maurice Hunter has been an LPN for more than eight years and has spent the last two years working for Amare’s Post-Acute division.

“I enjoy working as a nurse in a sense of helping others and being a positive impact on someone’s life – assisting in a time of need,” he said. “I wanted a career where I could work with people and be able to connect with another individual,” he said.

Maurice’s passion for caring is on display every day that he comes to work.

“I can tell he loves what he does,” recruiter Natasha Cook said. “He works hard to be the best LPN he can be. The facilities have nothing but fantastic things to say about him.”

Maurice chose Amare because he wanted more freedom in his schedule and opportunities for growth. “Amare has been a great place to work. I have enjoyed choosing assignments and the opportunities to work with different patients,” he said.

Working for Amare has allowed Maurice more time to focus on hobbies outside of work. “I enjoy checking in on him to see what he does next,” Natasha said. “I hear it will be sky diving, that is an adventure I can’t wait to hear about!”
