Amare’s Journey to a Million Smiles reaches 1,500

When both Brittney and Haley found out they were our 1,500th Smile, they decided they wanted to celebrate by doing something special and donate on behalf of Amare Medical Network to a local non-profit.

Since beginning “Our Journey to a Million Smiles” in May of 2021, many achievements have been made as Smiles have been shared and celebrated daily by our Amare Medical Network team members. As a result of this continuous dedication, our 1,500th Smile was achieved.

Brittney Jackson, Senior Recruiter, Acute, shared a Smile with Haley Stariat, Recruiter, Acute, that stated, “Big big smiles for your FIRST NURSE!!! I am so excited for you and can’t wait to continue to watch you grow.”

Amare Medical Network continues to celebrate these accomplishments as we strive “to deliver care worthy of a million smiles.”

When both Brittney and Haley found out they were our 1,500th Smile, they decided they wanted to celebrate by doing something special and donate on behalf of Amare Medical Network to a local non-profit. With their shared love for dogs and the success of National Pet Day on Care Connection, they discovered that Christie Yasofsky, Director of Operations, Harmony Home Care, was on the board for Pet Friends, Inc., an all-volunteer animal rescue organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find permanent homes for lost and unwanted dogs and cats in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Amare Medical Network donated a 7-piece deluxe agility set to the rescue along with other dog and cat toys, and Brittney and Haley were invited to spend some time meeting those who were impacted by this Smile.

“As an entirely volunteer run non-profit, we could not do what we do without community help and donations. Every dollar goes towards helping homeless animals, whether through vet care, food, shelter, supplies, or toys/enrichment. Donations of those items are key to properly caring for the animals we’ve taken in and making sure they have the best lives possible,” said one of the Dog Coordinators, Pet Friends Inc.
